Steven Naismith's late equaliser ensured that Manchester City fell two points behind Chelsea in the Premier League title race after being held by Everton at Goodison Park.
City
struggled to find a clinical finish to their approach play in a
goalless first half but looked to have secured all three points when
Fernandinho nodded in David Silva's deflected shot on 74 minutes.
Their
lead was swiftly erased, however, as Naismith headed in a pinpoint
Leighton Baines free-kick four minutes later to secure the spirited
hosts a share of the spoils.
