Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has praised Alexis Sanchez’s "amazing" quality after the Chilean inspired Arsenal to a 3-0 victory over Stoke City on Sunday.
Alexis
set up the opening goal for Laurent Koscielny on six minutes before
striking twice himself to take his goal tally to 18 in all competitions
and seal a deserved win for Arsene Wenger's men.
With 12 goals
and seven assists, the Chilean has now been directly involved in over
half of Arsenal's 37 Premier League goals this season and
Oxlade-Chamberlain has no doubts about his team-mate's talent.
"Alexis
is amazing. He shows it week in week out and that's the most important
thing for top players to do," Oxlade-Chamberlain told Sky Sports.
"It's about consistency and it's not good enough to just be good one week, everyone wants to see you being great every week.
"Alexis
has done that all the way through the season. He was brilliant again
today with two good goals and obviously he set Laurent's goal up as
well. Hopefully it continues for him because he's having a great season.
"His confidence is brimming and it helps the team as well. It
was another great performance from him. There were a lot of good
performances out there today but he's the star of the show."
