Ancelotti is a better coach than Mourinho, says Casillas

Who agrees with Casillas? Thegoalmac can reveal that Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has voiced his opinion that Carlo Ancelotti is a better coach than Jose Mourinho.

Casillas endured a difficult relationship with the current Chelsea manager during the latter's time at the Santiago Bernabeu between 2010 and 2013.

However, the Spain international has insisted that he would happily shake Mourinho's hand if they were to run into each other in the future, irrespective of their differences in the past when working together.

"Ancelotti is better than Mourinho," Casillas told COPE. "With Mourinho I had a love-hate relationship.

"In his time here I did not speak to him when we were in the same locker room, nor do I think that I have to talk now when he is already managing another team and I’m with my team.

"It would be a bit self-seeking and little cowardly on my part. I wish things go very well for him. In the time that he was at Real Madrid, he won titles and you have to give him thanks.

"If I cross paths with him tomorrow I am going to extend my hand, then it will be up to him if he shakes it. I think he would shake."

Casillas then went on to discuss his relationship with Xabi Alonso, who recently labelled Bayern Munich's Manuel Neuer the best goalkeeper in the world over his former team-mate.

"It does not interest me what Xabi Alonso says. In recent years our relationship has not been adequate."
