Thegoalmac has learned that Roberto Carlos believes Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo is a more decisive player than Barcelona ace Lionel Messi.
Personally I don't take opinions like this very serious, because its not coming from a neutral view, Carlos is a Real Madrid legend and I don't expect him to say Messi is better or more decisive or better than Ronaldo. My view sha, unless you think otherwise. Read what he said after the cut.
The 41-year-old, who played 527 games for los Blancos between 1996
and 2007, has shown his support for the star of his former club by
indicating that he feels he is more influential than the Argentine
forward.
"Cristiano Ronaldo remains the best in the world, and Messi is doing what others have failed to," Roberto Carlos said to Onda Cero. "He is breaking records, but Cristiano is more decisive than him."
The Portuguese star will feature in the Club World Cup final against
Argentine side San Lorenzo in Morocco on Saturday and the ex-Madrid
left-back spoke about the importance of the fixture in his native
continent, while also praising Carlo Ancelotti's side as the top team on
the planet.
"For the South Americans this title has the same importance as the Champions League. Madrid is the best team in the world."
Roberto Carlos is currently coach of Turkis side Sivasspor and won two Intercontinental Cups while playing for the Spanish side.
