I want to be as good as Messi, says Barca's wonder kid Traore

Thegoalmac can reveal that Barcelona youngster Adama Traore is hoping to follow in the footsteps of team-mate, and club icon Lionel Messi.

I watched this guy play a couple of times and I think he could the next big thing for Barca and world football, but he has still got a long way to go though. See what he said after the cut and tell us what you think about him?

"My heroes were Ronaldinho and Ronaldo, and now it is Messi," the teenager said at a promotional event for Adidas on Wednesday.

Following his impressive cameo for the first team on Tuesday, the forward spoke of how he hopes to improve himself, rather than relying on his pace and physical strength.

"From the moment I walked into the locker room, everyone has helped me, also on the pitch, I talk a lot," he told reporters.

"My greatest strength is my speed and power. This is what stands out more but I'll get better, I have many attributes.

"Today I say that my speed and power are my best weapons, but I wish I could talk about other things in the future.

"It was a great joy. The whole youth squad would like to score a goal in Camp Nou and share the dressing room with these players."
