Thegoalmac has learned that according to Arsene Wenger Arsenal have found their own Luis Suarez in the form of Alexis Sanchez.
For me, I think Alexis is the closest player in the world to Luis Suarez quality and work rate type of play, but in terms of finishing I'm not too sure about that, but with Arsene Wenger as his coach I think he will help him to improve in that area. See more details on Alexis's Arsenal career so far and what Arsene said after the cut.
The Chile international has made a blistering start to life in English
football since arriving in a €41 million deal from Barcelona in the
summer, scoring 14 goals in 24 appearances in all competitions.
His
physicality and tireless work-rate have also prompted comparison with
Suarez, who last season led Liverpool to the brink of a first league
title since 1990 with 31 goals before departing to join the Catalan
giants.
And as Alexis prepares to face the team that tried to
sign him to replace Suarez on Sunday when Arsenal take on Liverpool at
Anfield, Wenger admits he can see many similarities between the two
strikers.
"Sanchez, he looks like he is made for the English game," said the Frenchman.
"Sanchez has settled very quickly. But he has a kind of game that is instinctive and tough.
"[Sanchez and Suarez] have similarities. They are South Americans, they are provoking players, and they go with the ball.
"They are very determined as well, both of them. They have plenty of similar attitudes."
