I didn't have the opportunity to see late legend Di Stafano play, but from what I have heard about him, especially his amazing goal scoring abilities, I think Ronaldo is close being the Di Stafano of this generation. As for the ballon d'Or, a German should win as simple as that.

"Is Ronaldo a worthy heir to Di Stefano? Yes. Di Stefano was an idol of mine. He was great. He arrived when he was 27 and scored in an era which was very good for Madrid," Gento was quoted as saying by AS.
