Chelsea target Talisca called up by Brazil

Thegoalmac can reveal that Benfica starlet Anderson Talisca has been called up by Brazil for the first time following the injury-enforced withdrawal of Lucas Moura.

PSG attacker Lucas starred for the Ligue 1 champions in Sunday's top-of-the-table clash with Olympique Marseille at the Parc des Princes, netting the opening goal in a 2-0 win for the hosts.

However, the winger was forced to pull out of the Selecao squad for the upcoming Gillette Brasil Global Tour friendlies against Turkey and Austria with a bruised right foot.

Consequently, Brazil boss Dunga has turned to the uncapped Talisca, who has enjoyed a remarkable start to his Benfica career following his €4 million move from Bahia in July.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who has been compared to Manchester City star Yaya Toure, has scored eight goals in 10 appearances in the Primeira Liga so far this season, as well as the only goal in the Eagles' Champions League win over Monaco last week.

Talsica, who has represented his country at Under-20 and Under-23 level, will now be hoping to make his debut for the senior squad in either the November 12 meeting with Turkey in Istanbul or the clash with Austria in Vienna six says later.
