The hectic schedule of top footballers through the season means that once the summer comes, they all try to squeeze in important personal events like weddings.

The latest to tie the knot is Barcelona superstar Andres Iniesta, who got hitched to Anna Ortiz, his long-term partner and mother of his daughter.

The ceremony was held at Tamarit Castle in Spain,on the 8 July 2012,sources said that the World Cup and double European Championship winner Iniesta walked into the castle with his mother as the theme to Gladiator - his favourite film - was played.
Sadly Iniesta and wife Ortiz lost a baby boy march this year through miscarriage.

Iniesta's pals from Barca were all in attendance, including Lionel Messi, Cesc Fabregas,former team mate Eto'o and their "wives"....See more pics after the cut...
