My Father Would Have Wanted Messi Not Ronaldo to Break His Record,Lol

Hmmmm,Thegoalmac can reveal that the daughter of La Liga all-time top goalscorer Telmo Zarra says her father would be happy if Lionel Messi and not Cristiano Ronaldo breaks his almost 60-year old record.

This rivalry will simply not end,but it continues to seem more legendary people prefers Messi to Ronaldo, just an observation though, not saying anything o,Lol.Continue.
Legendary striker Zarra (full name Telmo Zarraonandia Montoya) scored 251 goals in 271 games for his only club Athletic Bilbao between 1940 and 1955.

Barca talisman Messi, 27, moved to 249 career league goals when scoring in Saturday's 2-0 win at Rayo Vallecano and now looks likely to pass Zarra's mark in one of his side's upcoming games at home to Eibar on Oct. 18, at Real Madrid on Oct. 25 or at home to Celta Vigo on Nov.11.

Carmen Zarra told Catalunya Radio that her family were not disappointed at the record being finally broken, and that her father would have viewed the "well behaved" Messi as a suitable successor.

"No, it does not bother us," she said. "Not at all. The record had to be broken. My father retired from football in 1953-54. Almost 60 years have passed since then.

"Now the time has come for someone to break it. I would have liked it to have been someone from Athletic.

But for sure my father would have been delighted with Messi, because he seems a very noble person on and off the pitch. He behaves himself very laudably."

"Messi, Messi, without any doubt," she continued. "I like Messi a lot more as a player and as a person, without going any further.

"I am not going to say more. I like more how he behaves on the pitch. I see Messi playing and I like to follow him.

"Cristiano Ronaldo gets to goal well, he has a lot of power and you must fear him, but the way I am I like Leo."
