Former Barcelona boss Gerardo Martino says he was shocked by just how little those working at the club knew about him.
After parting company with Newell's Old Boys in the summer of 2013,
the Argentine was announced as Tito Vilanova's successor as Blaugrana
boss on July 22.

He signed a two-year contract with the Catalans but left halfway through his contract after failing to win a major trophy.
Martino freely admits that he feels culpable for Barcelona's poor
2013-14 campaign, but he remains unhappy with his working environment at
Camp Nou, suggesting that he was not given enough freedom to work in
his usual manner.
"I was surprised by how little they knew about me at Barcelona," he told La Nacion.
"You can accept that from a supermarket cashier - but not from someone who works in football.
"It felt like I was constantly being watched over because of some things that went on and others that didn't.
"But it's unthinkable not to feel guilty when you join a club that is
a winning machine and then it stops winning, and you're the only new
face around."
It was claimed that Lionel Messi lost motivation midway through
Martino's solitary season in Catalunya but the new Argentina boss
insists that was simply not the case, arguing that the club's struggles
hit the No.10 hard.
"I know he gets down on himself and how bad he feels when he doesn't achieve his goals," the 51-year-old stated.
