Falcao:I Wanted Di Maria at Monaco

Radamel Falcao said he is delighted to link up with Angel Di Maria at Manchester United after trying to tempt the Argentina international into joining him at Monaco 12 months ago.

Can we simply say that maybe,it has been destined, that they will both play together in the same club?

But striker Falcao revealed that he had hoped to play alongside the winger last season, and tried to persuade him to leave Real Madrid 12 months earlier.

"He's a key player, compliments are short in order to describe him," he told Fox Sports. "When I was at Monaco I tried to get him to join me there."

Di Maria scored one goal and played a part in three more as United beat QPR 4-0 on Sunday, with Falcao making his debut as a substitute.
