Arsene Wenger Defends Miss Master Welbeck

Arsene Wenger has come to the defence of striker Danny Welbeck, who was guilty of spurning some clear openings in front of goal against Dortmund. It was Welbeck's first Champions League game for Arsenal since his move from Manchester United earlier this month.
Truth be told,Arsenal still needs a world class Number 9,if they are to challenge the big boys, who agrees with me?Continue to see what Wenger said...

"He was dangerous," stated Wenger. "He was tired in the second half, but he couldn't finish tonight. He looked lively and did well. He needs a goal to get that off his shoulders."

Wenger credited Dortmund for having better engergy in the game, but said that was largely because, "they had a much easier game than we did on Saturday." Dortmund was coming off a 3-1 win over Freiburg, while Arsenal had just battled Premier League defending champions Manchester City to a 2-2 draw.
