Arsenal's Mathieu Debuchy may need ankle surgery

Arsenal right-back Mathieu Debuchy has revealed he may need surgery on a "broken" ankle ligament.

There were fears he could be out for three months and a fractured foot was a possibility.
Debuchy, who took to Facebook to clarify the extent of the damage, is likely to face a lengthy spell on the sidelines if he requires an operation.

He wrote: "No fracture but one broken ligament ... I have to wait until Friday in order to know if I must have surgery."

Thegoalmac wishes him quick recovery.
