Valverde refuses to rule out January move for defender

Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has refused to rule out the possibility of signing a central defender during the January transfer window, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Gerard Pique and summer signing Clement Lenglet are currently Barcelona's only two fit central defenders following injuries to Thomas Vermaelen and Samuel Umtiti.

"I'm happy with the central defenders that I have. Although Barca must be attentive to the market," said Valverde.
