Real Madrid have confirmed Sergio Ramos has suffered strained knee ligaments after he was forced off in Spain's win over Albania.
The centre-back was replaced in the second half of the 2018 World Cup qualifier, with early reports suggesting he will be out for around a month.
And though Madrid are yet to confirm the length of his absence, the Champions League holders have confirmed the details of his injury.
"After tests carried out today on our player Sergio Ramos at the Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital, he has been diagnosed with a grade two sprain of the medial collateral knee ligament in the left knee. His recovery will continue to be assessed," a statement read.
If the suggestion that Ramos will miss a month of action proves to be correct, he will likely miss the Liga clash with Athletic Club and a Champions League double-header against Legia Warsaw.
