Tom Saintfiet is still hopeful of landing the Super Eagles job despite already being involved with the Bangladeshi national team.
This is coming on the heels of the failure of the Nigeria Football Federation to secure the services of Frenchman Paul Le Guen, whorejected the opportunity to become the next Super Eagles coach.
The NFF had listed Sainfiet along with Salisu Yusuf and Le Guen, even though it was very obvious their preference was the former PSG coach.
But after messing up the process which saw Le Guen turning down the opportunity, the NFF may now turn their attention to the Belgian Saintfiet, who has hinted he is still keen on the job.
“I cross my fingers,” he said when asked if he would be available if the NFF reached out to him.
When asked if he has finally signed a contract with the Bangladesh Football Federation, Saintfiet said: “No, I wait,” as he expressed readiness to wait for the Nigeria job.
