Watford striker Odion Ighalo and his manager Quique Sanchez Flores have both been nominated for the Premier League Player and Manager of the month awards for December.
Flores led the Hornets to an impressive run during the busy festive period, as they recorded three wins; against Norwich, Sunderland and Liverpool, and a 2-2 draw against Chelsea, before losing 2-1 to Tottenham Hotspur.
Ighalo also played a huge role in that run, as he scored five goals in that period, against Norwich, Spurs and Sunderland, and then hit a brace in a 3-0 win over Liverpool.
He has so far scored 13 Premier League goals and has been one of the standout performers for the club this term.
Also nominated for the awards are Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger, Leicester City’s Claudio Ranieri and Alan Pardew of Crystal Palace, all for the Manager of the month award.
The others nominated for the Player of the month award are, Romelu Lukaku (Everton); Mesut Ozil (Arsenal); Marko Arnautovic (Stoke City); Riyad Mahrez (Leicester City) and Dele Alli (Spurs).
