Today is really a sad day for football, our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of the victims. France Football Federation president Noel Le Graet has confirmed three people have been killed and several more are injured following an explosion outside the Stade de France.
France were playing Germany in a friendly on Friday night when a bomb was detonated outside Gate J of the national team's stadium, causing the fatalities.
Le Graet told TVInfosport+: "Three people have been killed and several injured after a bomb explosion in front of stadium door number J."
The game continued, with supporters initially unaware of the seriousness of the attack, before fans congregated the pitch as news filtered through of further attacks in the city.
A shooting at the Petit Cambodge restaurant has reportedly claimed the lives of at least 10 people, while in the region of 60 people are being held hostage at the Batclan arts centre.
However, Le Graet later added that the Stade de France was now safe, with fans being allowed to leave the ground and make their way home.
He said: "At this time, the stadium is secure. People can exit normally. The president of the republic had to leave at a very early stage because of the shootings that took place in Paris to join the Interior Ministry."
