Naija U-17 captain Nwakali Favours Arsenal Move Over Man City

Golden Eaglets captain to the recent FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile, Kelechi Nwakali has voiced his desire to play for Arsenal, despite reported interest in him from fellow-EPL giants, Chelsea and Liverpool.

The midfielder won the Golden Ball award for the best player at the tournament as Nigeria won the Under-17’s World Cup earlier this month, attracting interest from a host of Premier League clubs.

According to Nwakali; “I will love to play for Arsenal. They are the Premier League I will like to play for because they play the best football in the world.”

Arsenal failed to recruit any outfield players in the summer transfer window, but could potentially venture into the market in the summer with the contracts of midfielders Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini set to expire at the end of the campaign.
