German Chancellor Angela Merkel will attend the friendly match between Germany and the Netherlands on Tuesday, with the German Football Association (DFB) confirming that the match will go ahead.
The German squad had been playing France at Le Stade de France on Friday, with the match targetted as part of the atrocities that occured in Paris, resulting in the death of 129 people across the city.
And with the game set to go ahead, with the DFB indicating that they will not be intimidated by terrorism, Merkel will travel to Hanover to attend the fixture.
With Tuesday's match on the horizion, national team manager Oliver Bierhoff also confirmed that the squad would resume training on Monday and said that the match could be "a sign of communion with the French people and to the families of the victims".
Bierhoff added: "The entire team - players, coaches and staff - is still severely affected. Yet all know that it is important to set an example and to work as a team for our values and culture.
