Who agrees with him? Argentina coach Gerardo Martino believes Barcelona ace Lionel Messi is back to the form that saw him win four consecutive Ballons d'Or between 2009 and 2012.
The 27-year-old somewhat struggled to replicate his best form in the
past two seasons, but has been hugely impressive since the start of
2015, netting 15 goals in 10 Liga appearances.
Messi's sublime form in recent months has seen him equal his Real
Madrid rival Cristiano Ronaldo on 30 league goals so far this campaign
and Martino feels the forward is arguably better than ever before.
"Messi's start to 2015 has been unrivalled," Martino told TyC Sports.
"His efficiency in front of goal and the amount of goals he has scored cannot be bettered.
"He is back to his best again."
The prolific attacker has already netted 41 goals in 38 appearances in all competitions for Barcelona so far in 2014-15.
Messi will be looking to add to his tally at the weekend when the
Catalans face Eibar, before crucial games against Manchester City and
Real Madrid await.
