Luis Enrique has lamented how Barcelona have been burdened with the "bad news" of Sergio Busquets being stretchered off at Villarreal with an ankle injury.
The
midfielder took a blow to the ankle just before half-time in
Wednesday's Copa del Rey semi-final second leg and was taken to hospital
for assessment, with early supports suggesting he has a sprained ankle.
"We
have to wait for further tests with Busquets," Barca coach Luis Enrique
told reporters. "He'll sure be out for some days at least, but we'll
see. It's today's bad news.
Neymar's goals either side of Luis
Suarez's second-half strike propelled Barca to a 6-2 win on aggregate
and 3-1 victory on the night, with Jonathan dos Santos' effort shortly
before the break proving to be a mere consolation for Villarreal.
Luis
Enrique was delighted with his side's performance at El Madrigal -
especially against a team that often cause them trouble - and he hopes
that they are on the road to their first piece of silverware since the
2013 Supercopa de Espana.
"The game couldn't have worked out
better for us. We were looking to control the game and the early goal
helped us," he added. "Villarreal are one of the best sides in the
league and we've always struggled to beat them.
"I don't know if
Barca could ask to play the Copa del Rey final at the Santiago Bernabeu.
For me, the venue and opponent don't matter.
"At Barca you have to win titles - we'll see if we can win this one soon."
The
Catalans will face either Athletic Bilbao or Espanyol in the final
later this season and are one of the few clubs still battling for treble
glory heading into the final few months of 2014-15.
