Inter manager Roberto Mancini has claimed the Serie A side are working on a deal to sign Manchester City star Yaya Toure.
The
Ivory Coast international has been one of the driving forces behind the
City's success since joining from Barcelona in 2010, but came close to
leaving last summer after he claimed he felt underappreciated by the
club's hierarchy.
Toure, who won his first Premier League title
at City under Mancini, was eventually convinced to stay, though he has
now attracted the interest of the Italian once again.
He told Il Giornale:"He's
one of the best players in the world, he can still have his say. He
played for many teams, in many leauges like Belgium, Spain, Russia,
England. He only misses Italy, this may be a good chance for him.
"We're
working on it. You know, there are some players who may change team and
Yaya is one of them. Next year we may try: we just need three champions
to close the gap with Juventus."
Toure is currently at the
African Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast but has made 26 appearances in
all competitions for City, scoring nine goals in the process.
Inter
have been active in the January transfer window, signing Lukas
Podolski, Xherdan Shaqiri and Marcelo Brozovic and are currently 10th in
 Serie A.
