Thegoalmac can reveal that Jese Rodriguez expressed his jubilation at ending "months of suffering" after scoring on his comeback from injury in Real Madrid's 5-0 thrashing of Cornella on Tuesday.
I'm so happy for Jese, its so sad seeing talented young players being plagued by long term injuries, hopefully he can become even a better player than he was before his injury. Read what the joyous Jese said after the cut.
"I'm so happy after months of suffering," the Spanish forward told Gol T. "The team helped me so much and so did the president and Real Madrid fans.
"You
suffer so much when you are out for so long. It's been a tough injury
and I'm not at my best yet. I missed playing with this team during my
months out."
Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti speculated that
expecting Jese to be scoring week-in, week-out once again would be
foolish considering the Spain international has been out for the
majority of 2014.
"Jese has been out for months and he will be
improving step by step," he added. "We need to give him time. It's not
easy to recover from such an injury."
Real Madrid extended their
club-record-breaking win streak to 17 with the triumph at home to
Cornella and win look to extend it further on Saturday at home to Celta.
