Continue to see the Brazilians and how they proved and demonstrated their faith in Jesus Christ.
Former Ballon d'Or winner and Brazilian footballer Kaka is one the few players who profess his christian belief. He’s a unafraid unashamed born-again Christian who Stands up for Jesus and his faith with every given opportunity.
One of his most famous declaration of his faith in Jesus Christ is during his speech after being awarded the Ballon d'Or in 2007, he actually quoted one of my favorite scriptures, Ephesians 3:20. If you are are a christian, you can check it out.
Brazilian football player, Lucio, was quoted for saying that the team that gives God the utmost glory deserves to be the champion in the World Cup 2006, before the 2006 world cup.
When Brazil defeated Germany at the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan, Lucio told the German magazine “Neues Leben” (New Life), his team prayed before that match – “not for victory but rather that our team praises God as is His due”.
According to Lucio, even if the Brazilians had lost, they would have shown their Jesus-Loves-You shirts. “We should always give Jesus the glory – in good times and bad”.
David luizLuiz has never played down his strong Christian beliefs as you can see in the picture above as he was praying for Torres before Chelsea's 5-0 Champions League win over Genk – in which Torres scored twice.
He also has links with the Atletas de Cristo (Athletes of Christ) – a non-profit organisation that is made up of sportsmen and was started in Brazil in 1984.
It is linked with the evangelical movement and counts Kaka and Lucio among its many devotees.
