Rakitic:Barca Unbeaten Run Was Always Going To End One Day

Sincerely no team likes loosing, and no fan enjoy seeing their teams loose any match, but the truth is,no team will win all their matches no matter how good they are,who agrees with me?

Ivan Rakitic said the "day was always going to come" when Barcelona would lose their unbeaten start to the campaign following the 3-2 Champions League group stage defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.

The Catalans had won six and drawn one of their first six games under new coach Luis Enrique - and all without conceding a goal.

However, they looked extremely brittle at the back at the Parc des Princes, with David Luiz and Marco Verratti both exposing Barca's ongoing vulnerability at set-pieces, before Blaise Matuidi scored what proved to be the game's decisive goal after a brilliant break from the hosts.

Still, while Barca looked like their old fragile selves in the French capital, Rakitic insists they are not going to suddenly go back to the drawing board ahead of Saturday's Liga clash with Rayo Vallecano.

"This day was always going to come," the Croatia star told reporters after tasting defeat in a Barca shirt for the first time since his summer switch from Sevilla.

"We are self-critical every day. But we’re convinced by our football. Every game is a test for us. We have to carry on doing what we’ve been doing until now. We have to think positively because we have another very hard game on Saturday."

Despite their defeat in Paris, Barca still sit second in Group F, just one point behind the French champions, whom they will host at Camp Nou on the final matchday, on December 10.
