Inter closing the gap on Juventus, says Zanetti

Do you see any other team other than Juventus winning the Italian league this coming season? Inter icon Javier Zanetti feels the Giuseppe Meazza side are slowly closing the gap on Juventus after a number of disappointing seasons.
The Milan side had to settle for eighth place in the Serie A table in 2014-15, but have significantly strengthened their squad this summer as they aim to return to the top.
They have already brought in Geoffrey Kondogbia, Miranda and Martin Montoya so far and Zanetti is confident they can soon compete for major honours once more.

"We are working hard to return to the top," Zanetti was quoted as saying by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"We have to respect the Financial Fair Play rules, but things are looking promising ahead of the new season.
"I'd like to think that we have already reduced the gap on Juventus a bit. It is now our objective to return to Europe and we are doing everything without our powers to become competitive again.

"The signs are looking good, but we have to keep our feet on the ground."
