Thegoalmac understands that Julio Baptista believes that Cruzeiro team-mate Lucas Silva can become "one of the biggest names in football" if he joins Real Madrid.
Personally, I have never watched him play, so don't really know hwo good he is, but if Madrid wants him, he should be good.
Read what his current teammate and former Real Madrid player Baptista said after the cut.
"He is an amazing player," the striker is quoted as saying by AS. "He is Brazilian but he is the player here who most fits the European profile.
"He
is a midfielder who has a great feel for the ball and that's why he's
being noticed. He is very talented and he is very young.
"He is also grounded. He wants to learn and that is very important.
"If
he starts doing at Madrid what he has been doing here he will be one of
the biggest names in football in no time at all. He is a very complete
player."
Baptista joined Madrid from Sevilla for a reported €24.5
million in 2005 but never managed to establish himself as a first-team
regular and, after a loan move to Arsenal midway through his three-year
spell with los Blancos, he eventually departed for Roma on a permanent
basis.
However, despite the fact that he failed to make the grade
at the Bernabeu, he has nothing but fond memories of the club and feels
Lucas Silva would love life in the Spanish capital just as much as he
did.
"The best advice is to go with the experiences that come
your way," the ex-Brazil international added. "It will be the best
experience of his life.
"But he needs to learn as quickly as possible because the faster he learns, the better he will be with Madrid."
Cruzeiro have already admitted that they are willing to cash in on Lucas Silva but that they will not let him leave for anything less than €15m.
