Ronaldo has overtaken Messi as World best, says Rooney

Thegoalmac can reveal that Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney believes that Cristiano Ronaldo has "certainly overtaken Lionel Messi now as the best player in the world".

Hmmm, for me I think Rooney is absolutely spot on. Ronaldo has done better since last year and rightly deserved to be the best in the world right now,  but I'm too sure if he deserves to win the ballon d'Or next year, I think a German should win it. What do you think? Continue for what Rooney said.
"I think so," he replied when asked by MUTV if Ronaldo would win again. "He's had an incredible two or three years and I think he has certainly overtaken Lionel Messi now as the best player in the world.

"I'm sure it'll be difficult to give it to anyone else."

Ronaldo heads a 23-man shortlist for the Ballon d'Or, which will be awarded in Zurich on January 12
